Rebuilt manual steering box?

I guess most people switch over to power steering, but I'm a knucklehead and want to stick with the manual steering in my '67 C20.

Of course my box has that dead spot in the middle from being 50 years old. Where's the best place to get a rebuilt box?

Another Manual fan here.

I just checked into one for my '72 C-10 and my local parts store had the best price. Also check on the warranties as they can vary. The Core Charge is a whopper, lol.

Re: Rebuilt manual steering box?

Thanks. Interesting that NAPA and Autozone don't list anything for a '67 C20. Rock Auto lists a bunch of different boxes. I might have to contact Lares and find out the right one for my truck.

Re: Rebuilt manual steering box?

With so many converting to PS, you'd think that manual boxes would be a dime a dozen. Strange that the core charge is high.
