ignition scratch guard

Looks like a single gauge holder turned upside down..
Nice idea.. other than what will it look like in a year? scratched up.
I used plastic dip on my last truck.. when it was looking hagared, peel and recoat..
Might get this, and coat it to match the dash..

Wouldn't it be easier to just have one of those little barrel fittings to detach your ignition key from the rest of your ring?

yes it would, but it will cover up existing scratches...

I think I will use the 3M clear plastic protective film around my freshly painted ignition bezel.

Below is a picture of my "scratch guard". It is not only effective, it also stops the keys from rattling around and is period correct. It's called a key case.

Pretty hard to find them like this these days though.
