Re: 72 Blazer 2.0
looks awesome. I am at almost the identical stage. What did you use for a tank?
custom bend fuel and brake lines or buy pre bent? |

Thats the Blazer I bought in Tennessee on a saturday afternoon. Popped up on clist
And was on 18 mins when i saw it. That was the best K5 body ive ever seen. I sold it to A buddy in Easley sc and he put it on Ebay.. Glad its getting the restoration It. deserves. Its actually the twin to mine. |

It the same tank that it came with it I just painted it(I think it a older aftermarket tank). All the lines I brought from Inline tube and they fit perfect.

Re: 72 Blazer 2.0
I think I got my posting pictures problem figured out. So lets see if I can throw up some pictures the right way. The first picture of underside is after scraping, wire wheeling and sanding for 3 days then epoxy DP primer and 2 coats of Sem rust and shield with hardner. It came out real nice the pictures doesn't do it any Justice. The next few pictures of the chassis waiting for parts and the last picture is this really cool roll bar that came with a parts truck I picked up.

Re: 72 Blazer 2.0
I'm in. Looks great so far. You've motivated me to make a run to the plater and powdercoat shops today.

Re: 72 Blazer 2.0
That looks like a smitty built roll bar. I like it better than the dealer install one. I wish I could find one not too far from me.

Re: 72 Blazer 2.0
Thanks for the info on the roll bar I knew it was old school but didn't knew who made it. I thought it might of been dealer installed but I'm guessing its not now.

Re: 72 Blazer 2.0
I did order the clamps just in case but they didn't compare to the originals and mine were still in good shape so I glass beaded and painted them the original colors. The different colors on the clamps means how many lines it holds and the size of the lines.

Re: 72 Blazer 2.0
I've been busy working on this thing and haven't posted anything lately but I made some nice progress so here is what we have.
All prepped and ready to go the body shop and these two pictures are from 2 1/2 weeks ago So while the truck at the body shop I started putting the engine together, I started with the original block and heads then adding a steel stroker crank, good rods, forged pistons and a comp roller cam.
