I matched up the marks like the assembly mentioned.....it seem to work for me...I didn't have to open up the motor at all....sorry that doesn't help, but it's just what I did

That assembly manual on CD looks to be very helpful Leon!!!

The CD assy' manual is the cats meow for finding stuff like that. I just typed the word wiper into the search box and hit the enter key...

Mine does the same thing (I only turn em on once a year to make sure they work).
It never sees rain, BUT ANYWHO...my Mechanic tells me the Motors wearing out and wont bring it down to its full travel.
Makes sence to me.

This only works if your motor is good to begin with, it's there so the arm gets installed correctly. The problem others are having is an internal motor problem of non serviceable parts. When they start doing this it's usually easiest to just replace the motor.

Too bad mine is a new motor. That's what continues to baffle me. Gonna try taking it out and checking the alignment this weekend.

New doesn't always mean good, especially with today's Taiwan junk and less than stellar reman's they sell at auto part stores. How long have you had it? Maybe you can take it back and exchange it since you're going to have it out anyway?

My wiper motor is a replacement as well, I still haven't been able to get it to park right, no matter what I've tried, I just got used to giving the switch a little twist to get the arm to park. I'm going to order a new motor when I'm feeling ambitious and in the mood to pull the old one out.

I just pulled the new one back out and will be exchanging it today. Will let ya know if that does me any good.

Older, ongoing thread but still relevant....
Mine too does not park at the bottom and I have to jog the switch to get it all the way down.
So it appears there is no definitive reason for this yet?....could be a number of things.
