I matched up the marks like the assembly mentioned.....it seem to work for me...I didn't have to open up the motor at all....sorry that doesn't help, but it's just what I did

New doesn't always mean good, especially with today's Taiwan junk and less than stellar reman's they sell at auto part stores. How long have you had it? Maybe you can take it back and exchange it since you're going to have it out anyway?

Older, ongoing thread but still relevant....
Mine too does not park at the bottom and I have to jog the switch to get it all the way down. So it appears there is no definitive reason for this yet?....could be a number of things.
