Look what I got cheap!!!

Well, I did go pick up the T5 from Alabama last Sunday. Was about a hour and a half from the house. Guy was asking $200 (which was a great deal in itself) , but took $175 ( never hurts to ask ). Cool thing it's a 1993 World Class off of a 2.8 v6 (tag # 1352-222). The guy said his ecm went out and he wanted to install a v8. I think I got a great deal considering what they go for on ebay. Outside of a little leak at the tail shaft seal, it's very dry on the outside.

A stk 305 wirh a 4 barrel and headers for now. Ill put a vortech 350 in later. It will be stk except for the 4 barrel and headers as well. Trans should be good for that motor .

You will love it! I added one to my 235 and it changed the whole driving experience.

Re: Look what I got cheap!!!

Thats a good deal. I have one in my truck behind a 350. Just take it easy and dont beat on it too hard. I blew apart the input shaft gears on the first on I put in my truck shifting from 1st to 2nd. I just put another t5 I got off craigslist in it, they last if not driven hard.

Thanks man....
I got to thinking if I have a trans made at the end of the 1992 model yr.
The star that's cast into the housing says 92 in the middle of it which I'm told is the yr the trans was made.......maybe, though the tag says 1352-222 which clearly states 1993 WC.
Hamilton intakes shows on there site that any s10 t5 with a 14 spline input shaft is 1992 and earlier. I had mine open yesterday and there are no brass parts which would make it a nwc if it did.
Do I have a hybrid so to speak ? Maybe the factory started using the WC internals at the end of the '92 model yr. The guy said it came from a '92 s10 but like I said, the tag says '93. From the way things look, I don't think the tag was screwed with.
What do you think?

Re: Look what I got cheap!!!

I am debating a T5 for my truck. Guess I need to start looking for one.
