Project Golden State - 1979 Crew Cab Dually

Hello,

Here is my 1979 crew cab C30 dually. I also run @C30Addict on Instagram. Check it out for killer dually pics. https://www.instagram.com/c30addict/

A buddy of mine did this drawing (rendering) of my rig. Due to other projects it will be awhile before it gets this treatment. For now it has a static drop via Belltech parts (spindles, shackles & hangers). I've done a ton of other stuff to the truck and will document it the best I can below via other posts.

Second image is cruising the GMC to a local show a couple of weeks back. A friend snapped this pic of me driving across a bridge in Florida headed to Clearwater.

Lastly, I do a truck related podcast (it is FREE) that ties in mini truckin, air suspension, tech etc. Make sure to check it out via your fav podcast app or here: http://ourlifestylepodcast.com

Wow.... I made it onto the IG pic list

What are the plans for this (since it's already static dropped)?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Haha. Awesome. If your on IG let me know and I'll tag you. I routinely obtain pics from various FB groups, this website, Google search, etc. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to tagging owners, builders, etc.

Right now I have a laundry list of things I've done on the 79. My goal is to keep it simple as least for now. Eventually I'd like to have my buddy Jimmy Graham at Jimmy's Rod n Customs build a chassis for it, run a belt driven compressor coupled with ViAir compressors, etc. My biggest hurdle is finishing a 67 Lincoln I've been working on. Once I do that it will be forward with the crew cab.

I love the old school cap...topper...camper shell...whatever it is called these days. I am looking for one of those for mine.

Looks like body mounts would be a good idea to get your body lines lining up better.

Got it Scoti. I followed you just now. DaddyJeep thanks man. I really wanted something old school. I agree on the bodymounts. I'm going to eventually do the Energy Suspension business I think. I did the door pins on the drivers door but the striker needs to be replaced. the Nylon is missing on mine and when the door is closed it sags a tad. Appreciate the comments!
