The problem is the switch, where do you plan on mounting it? You could probably modify the bracket and switch from a car 4spd but that might be hard to locate and you will have to modify it to fit the 3 speed shift lever on the transmission.
Most car manual transmissions had linkage up to the steering column to actuate the reverse switch. Corvettes for sure have the switch on the transmission that makes contact with the reverse lever.
