Re: what color did you paint your inner fenders

Almost everything I've ever seen has been some sort of semi gloss or flat black... OR body color. I've always liked the blackout look. Factory was black.

Re: what color did you paint your inner fenders

I powdercoated mine satin black. Durable, and approximately the correct sheen.

If I had to paint them, I recommend SEM underhood black if you're using a rattlecan.

I read a post the guy said that factory inner fenders had more sheen. The picture was an unmolested truck with low miles. I'll see if I can locate the thread.

Post #3 16K miles. looks like the rest of the engine bay, satin black. Can't find the other I mentioned, but black satin seems to be real popular. Perhaps that was factory.......... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=311191

Wow, those are pretty underhoods!

I bought some Eastwood Chassis Black, I may give that a try for mine. Mine have been black epoxy primed though.

I kind of prefer body color. As I repaint this time around I will color match it again.

Best part about satin is that it isn't too glossy and it also doesn't stain like flat does when you get oil on it.
