Alright...down to 3 cam choices, you decide!

ok, so after alot of internet surfing over an extended period of time, i have come to my top 3 cam choices. Voodoo 262, Comp cams xe262h, Crane Energizer 274HO6. Engine: (currently stock goodwrench 350 w/ edlebrock 600cfm carb and performer intake) Im getting Edlebrock E street aluminum heads (185cc intake, 64cc combustion chambers etc... .550 max lift i think) My truck is a daily driver but im looking for some more pep down low. i prefer an exhaust note that is easily distinguishable from a stock cam. (looking to keep reliability..and not absolutely kill gas mileage)
Specs:
Lunati Voodoo 262: Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 262/268
Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 219/227
Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .468/.489
LSA/ICL: 112/108
Valve Lash (Int/Exh): Hyd/Hyd
RPM Range: 1400-5800

Comp xe262h - Duration @.050 - 218/224
Lift - .462/.469
LSA - 110

Crane 274H06 - 274 advertised duration, .450/.450 lift, 218/218 duration @.050

btw..i am probably going to upgrade to around a 2000 stall torque converter.

For those cam choices I personally would chose the XE262.

For your intended usage, IMO aluminum heads aren't what you NEED.
The intake is 185cc, but might make the motor feel lazy till you get the port volume up. The aluminum heads will dissipate heat faster and dispense that heat under the hood, which may promote vapor lock with todays fuel.
When gm did aluminum heads on the L98, they used 60cc chambers , 163 intake runners, and put it in a sports car so the airflow could help the cooling.

I also vote for the xe262. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the power your 350 will make with the e-street's and this cam. If you change the converter it will be even more fun. Next you'll be investing in new tires!

P.S. Make sure to use a good molly assembly lube, an oil additive containing zinc, and follow correct break in procedures.

The Comp Cam 262 or do yourself a favor and go 1 size smaller. for a Daily driver you will not benefit from a larger camshaft. Look at the specs for the Edelbrock Performer camshaft. It is designed to be the best cam to work with your Performer Manifold. It or a cam with virtually the same specs will be your Best choice.

If you are wanting more pep down low, all three cam choices are too big.

My son's rig has this exact set up (with the comp cam, EB carb & intake, flow master exhaust) and though it rips 'ok' up top, there is still lots to be desired off the line.
Short of changing rear end gears, how else can you gain low end torque/power with the 'set up of interest' ?

The Comp Cams 12-238-2 is a nice choice if you switch to those heads.

One step down, and more in the bottom, is the 12-235-2.

Another step down, and even more in the bottom, is the 12-300-4.

I would probably recommend the 12-235-2.

If you're using a 700r4 you could get away with the Comp Cam.
