66 hood support bracing - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Is there anywhere that reproduces the under hood bracing that runs from side to side or is it something I am going to have to fabricate... it seems to be the only sheet metal on the hood i can not find but one of the only things I need to replace

Neither piece under the hood at the front or rear is reproduced.

Are you talking about the two braces going front to back?
If so, I'm sure you can find them here in the forum classifieds.

No I am talking about the braces that run from driver side to passenger side under the hood at the front and the back but just as I expected that someone would say captainfab said what I was hoping not to hear 😐 oh well though I guess I'll fabricate sometime , look for a used hood or save for a brand new reproduction hood..

Oh I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions once I start tearing everything apart
