AccuAir E-Level issues
Hey there!
I own a 57 Chevy pickup. recently installed the AccuAir E-Level air ride system. Worked perfect for about 2 weeks, now my compressors won't shut off. Contacted AccuAir, who were very accommodating. Shipped back the ECU, Touchpad, and usb cable for testing. Testing came back good. No issues with ECU, Touchpad or cable. Any ideas? I'm thinking maybe a loose ground? Could it be that simple? It's possible that your compressor relay is just locked ON. This is easy to test with a test light... Check the voltage on the yellow wire coming from your ECU to your compressor relay. If it is OFF when your compressor is ON then your relay is locked ON. Sometimes you can just smack it and it will go back to working like normal.

My money is on a stuck relay. Are you running just one comp? Are you using the relay from Accuair? If not make sure the relay is bigger than the amp draw for your comp.

Update: I reinstalled the ECU, touchpad, and usb cable. While under the truck, I found a questionable ground coming off the ECU. Fixed that ground and it seems to have remedied the problem. I also gave the relay a smack in case it was stuck on stupid haha.
NOW, while trying to recalibrate the system, (which accuair says shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes) the touchpad heats up bad and was blinking and calibrating for over 40 minutes yesterday. PS- I have 2 compressors. All components are from AccuAir. Really appreciate the assistance guys!!! You rock. Thanks 68is4me.

The touch pad does get warm. It should not take that long to calibrate. Check for air leaks. Are the compressors running all the time? When I do mine the comps will run for about 5 min then shut off, then it starts doing all the level adjustments.

No leaks. Truck is at ride height for a few weeks now. When I power the truck, the touchpad lights up all white. I press menu and #2 and hold them to start calibration. Compressors kick on for about 2 seconds, then touchpad lights start to do their flashing. That's it though. Truck doesn't adjust height or anything.

I'm wondering if there is some sort of universal "reset" option so I can start from scratch with the calibration. maybe it's recognizing the old settings. Also, should the bags be empty at time of calibration? Truck sitting at ride height may be confusing the ecu. Just a guess.

Your doing this to calibrate right? Every time you recalibrate it will use the relearned settings. Don't matter if bags are full.

Yup. Pressing #2 and menu dot button at same time, wait til they flash. Compressors respond by kicking on, then turn off. Then lights strobe for a while. When calibration is complete, #2 should stay solid. But that never happens haha. At least for 40 minutes it hasn't.

Do the lights strobe in red? If so that a low voltage issue. If not I bet you have a pressure issue maybe a bad pressure sensor.
I would start from ground zero and double check everything to make sure it is all wired correctly and installed correctly and call Accuair. Maybe post some pics maybe it something easily spotted.

No red strobes. Just the 1 2 & 3 buttons are flashing constantly. Kind of looks like it's doing what it's supposed to.. Just waaaaay too long.

UPDATE: Spoke with AccuAir tech support today. Turns out, their manual has an incorrect connection on one of the ground wires haha. I always suspected this ground was a little funky. The manual had me wiring a ground to the aluminum mounting bracket for the air manifold. As soon as I ran that ground to the frame, the truck came to life. Fully calibrated and fully functional now. Thanks for all the assistance everyone!!! Truly appreciated!!! I'll post a pic of the truck taken this afternoon.
