door hinges

hi how are the 67-72 after market door hinge are they any good as in fit and lining up the door

Clean up the hinges and replace the bushings and pins and hinges should be good. Better than repop too
Heat up the hinge sleeve and pound pin out with hammer and drift pin
Shouldn't take more than an hour or two.
Search YouTube. Saw vid there also.

Get on you tube and look up Gibson 63 . He has a good video on doing this on his 63 Chevy.

i think the left ones on my truck are bent so just will try to find some old ones and redo them

I got a hinges for both doors from LMC. My 70 GMC is being painted and the body shop had no complaints with the new hinges. Everything was removed from the truck, so they had to rehang and align the doors anyway.

The Gibson 63 videos are impressive, I would say he has been around the bock on a few restorations, I stumbled onto his videos a while back doing research on painting. if you have time to kill he is definitely worth a look.

Bushings - GM # 9721917

Pins - GM # 20046147

Dorman also has a kit, Dorman # 703-264

The pins are too long and will need to be cut to length.
