Price guide
I noticed in the latest Old Car Price Guide that the value of 67-68 trucks are MUCH higher then the others in that era. Even the 69-70 are more then the 71-72. Is the Guide way out of line or is that the way the value trend is going. I personally like the 71-72 models.

Price guides mean squat. It's worth what the buyer is willing to pay.

Nada kbb or any other price guides don't mean much for example a truck in az may bring double in ny. With that being said 69 and 70 usually the least popular of the 67-72.

I've never put a lot of faith in the price guides either, and watch more out of curiosity. I did see last week that hagerty put these trucks in their top 25 vehicles for positive trends in sales

I do not mean to argue, nor disagree with you. Just wondering why you say 69 and 70 least popular? Is it because 67 and 68 are slant nose, and 71-72 have disc brakes up front-- so 69-70 are left somewhere in between? I like that my 69 GMC has a real 396. I just like being able to say I have a 396. It seems cooler than saying 400 (which is confusing since BB and SB 400s were made) or 402 (which came after 69). Personally there are things I find I like about them all-- and I have owned them all. I like the springs in the 69-70 seats better. They sit up stiffer than the cushy full-foam of my 72. And is that all there is to it-- personal taste? If so, then that is fine with me-- sort of like colors I would guess. My favorite color may not be your cup of tea. I like hearing what others have to say about this sort of thing.
