Rear marker lights question
In the process of figuring out the wiring on my c10. On the rear marker lights, do they blink for left/right turn signals? Do they come on when brakes applied? Do they only come on when headlights are turned on? Thanks.

Re: Rear marker lights question
If im not mistaken, they are simply marker lights. . 67 had none, 68 required reflectors and 69 and on were required to be lighted. They are only lit when the park lights or headlights are on, and do not blink with turn signals or tail lights although, I've seen people wire them into their turn signals.

Re: Rear marker lights question
I wired my Suburban front side markers to blink with the turn signals. It's pretty simple and I think it's a bit of added safety.

Re: Rear marker lights question
Lets see a simple wiring diagram of how you did it.

Re: Rear marker lights question
So it comes on with the parking lights, then flashes off (single element bulb) opposite the front turn signal light (dual element bulb)?

Re: Rear marker lights question
I have a forward lighting harness from a 1972 truck and the front marker lights blink with the turn signals. The harness does not appear to have been modified. Was this a factory thing for 1972?

Re: Rear marker lights question
Yes, it was. May have started a couple years earlier, I'm not sure, but that was standard in 1972.
