Definitely I missed the Front Tow Hooks.
Since it's not compatible with a 4-Bbl Carb, I didn't pay attention to the Oil Bath Air Cleaner. [Basically its like a K&N before there was any K&N. Cool in its own right, I agree.] Question: does the oil return for the Oil Bath Air Cleaner feed into a 1/2" port on the rear lifter side cover? I ask since I have such a side cover on my 292 with a strange fitting on it.

With a governor it has the closest thing to cruise control you could have got on a truck in 1967. You certainly have a unique truck. Reminds me of forest service trucks from back in the day.
Strange if it would have a setup like that, but no tach. Is there any kind of governor setup on the throttle linkage?

That's pretty much my dream 67-72! If I saw that on Craigslist I'd be really tempted!

Beautiful truck!

Love the vintage nm plates. I want a set for my 72. I didn't even catch that you were from los Lunas until Pete mentioned I25. Where did the truck come from?

Re: 67 k20 long stepper

Congrats on this truck. I agree, theres something more than cool about
20/30 long stepsides. My '67 GMC 1ton 9' stepper gets looks and comments everywhere AND loves to be put to work.
I bought mine with intentions of a light resto and repaint but the originality of it all ie, faded paint, rust, dings, scratches etc all = very cool these days
Enjoy every minute of it.

Re: 67 k20 long stepper

The bad part is the bed is junk from years of abuse and rust the rest of the truck is cherry except for the right front fender cup. I don't know which way to go I have a line on a fleetside but also thinking about a flatbed

That's what it looks like to me. This thread came back to the top by someone posting only the link for it's sale in Albuquerque.

How bad is the bed? It doesn't appear so bad, as long as it isn't taken apart. You treat it well, keep it under roof, and put rust converter on the rust it should hold up a long time. If it's that you want it all painted and shiny, then it's the same thing, keep it under roof and treat it well... after spending gobs of money. If it's that you want something you can do more changes from original on, then this isn't the one for you to enjoy. I see this as an enjoy as is truck or restore to original.

Re: 67 k20 long stepper

I agree with special-k, this truck looks like it should be preserved as it is. I'm not necessarily a step side guy, but this thing is just so cool and unusual just as it sits.
Tell us what's trashed about the bed?

Re: 67 k20 long stepper

The front panel is pushed into the cab and the lower 3 inches are gone the sides are rusted through along where it meets the floor and the top rail is busted and torn at the front stake pockets from the headache rack moving around the floor is there but wood is rotten and all the strips are rusted out. The tailgate looks cool with all its farm repairs but is trashed.
