back in 2006 I got tired of spending almost $400/month so the wife could drive 3000 miles a year. I sold the minivan and bought a 96 Blazer for $750. Swapped out the engine (it came with another good one since original had coolant in oil). Then fixed original engine and sold that for $500. Two years ago i damn near bought a 2002 Blazer from a friend for $1500.

I rather like these things. It's just not the easiest truck to work on. They're really quite capable and rather dependable once you address the normal issues.

Shoot mine hit a deer doin 60 last night. so shes down for a few.
