Nope..that's just rattle can...I'm using the dekups system on my paint guns instead of paint cups, and had to order a fitting to use them on the black widow...its supposed to be here mon...I'll be trying it out next week if I get a day off...

Gotcha. With a part like that you can be done with a rattle can before you can even get the gun set up to spray. Then you got cleanup after that.

Keep on keeping on my man.

Re: Columbus..the 1957 IH 4x4..

I just read this whole thread, nice work. I like the ways you’ve figured out all the problems that have come up. Looking forward to seeing more! It’s going to be a very nice truck when you’re done. Your folks will be blown away.

Re: Columbus..the 1957 IH 4x4..

With all the ot I've had its hard to get motivated and get anything done..so I'm trying to get my 5min in wherever I can ..I needed to get the steering operational, so after painting the column I went ahead and stuck it together..
Somewhere way back I redid the firewall mount that holds the column..I bought a column saver to do this and of course they dont make them in a 2-1/8"..so I bought a 2-1/4" and made a spacer for it..well when i got ready to put it together i couldn't find my spacer..
sometimes around here its easier to just make something new rather than look for what I already made..
But when i was looking at it i thought ,why not just make a new swivel insert that's the correct size and not have the spacer..so that's what happened..
1.Old insert and spacer...
2.Old insert vs new
3.And installed..
Yaaah..!!!...I can turn the wheels from inside the cab...

Re: Columbus..the 1957 IH 4x4..

Another 5 minutes......spread out over 2 hrs..
I dont know how many times I've sprayed these dash panels, but I hope it's the last time..
They were sandblasted epoxied, highbuild, rattle can painted at least twice
Sanded back down and painted with a gun and now redone that again twice..
They looked good till I chipped the glovebox..when I repainted it I had some kind of reaction and the paint krinkled up..
So I sanded it all back down and epoxied, high build and paint..again hopefully for the last time...

Re: Columbus..the 1957 IH 4x4..

how is the new gun working out? My HF gun was alot cheaper than yours but it layed down really well. The thing I didnt like was it would loose its settings when you cleaned it. I mean that you knew it was out say 1 turn and the next time it would be 7/8 turn. Not a big deal but you kept a test piece nearby every time. Once it was dialed back in the paint layer out perfect. I was shooting single stage Nasson.
