Re: New Member in NC

Welcome! I'm in Winston Salem and I love Pilot Mountain. It's a great place to go hiking with our little ones with the easy access to the top. Oh, and Pilot has one of the best cruise ins around! Do you ever make it out to them?

Re: New Member in NC

A BIG thank you for the warm welcome from hewittca, jeffg1010, bakwoodsfarm, and PanelDeland. I used to get up there to the Cruise Ins and walk around, but now I just kinda ride through. I can't do all the walking I used to be able to. A LOT of gorgeous vehicles at most all of them. VERY talented people.

Those are some exceptionally nice rides in those Avatars as well. I only wish I could be so skilled.

Re: New Member in NC

LOL, I always wondered if Andy Griffith fabricated Mount Pilot town name, from Pilot Mountain...

Yep. And you may already know this but Mount Airy was Mayberry. They had two of the old galaxy police cars that they gave town tours in. I saw in the news that one of them caught fire. Makes. me think Barney might have been involved, lol.

LOL, maybe Goober tore it apart and put it in the courthouse,
and forgot to tighten the fuel line to the carb, after Andy chewed him a new one (again)
for putting it there...
