Thumbs up Spot light

I bought a nice spot off E bay last week and it showed up at the house on Saturday. I got it out of the box and tried it out but it wouldn't work so I started taking it a part. I luckily took the switch a part first and cleaned the contacts good and it works great now. I plan to install it on the Pusher!

I found a install video also of it.
Lets see your spot's guy's and where you mounted them for idea's. How high up should it be?

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Spot light

Don’t bother installing it, it’s a pain. Just send it over to me, I’ll get rid of it for you. Lol

Re: Spot light

Original owner installed dual spotlights on my Jimmy...unk why. He liked lights though...also added light on the roof and additional lights on the front bumper.

Does this come straight out toward the door? Hard to tell by the angle.

Andy, I think it goes through the a pillar at about a 45 degree angle.. I will take a few close up pics tomorrow morning and post them. I like the rugged worn look of Your ramp paint...You just can't get a paint job like that any where!

Re: Spot light

Reminds me of when I was a kid. Maybe 10 or 12. There was a field at the end of the street. It had an old house on it that was going to be demolished. So, my delinquent buddies and I would throw rocks at it and break the windows.

So we were walking back home and this car tears into the field and hits us with spotlights.

"It's the cops, my friend yelled" And we all took off running like a bunch of scared rabbits.

I don't think I ever ran so fast in my life.

Turns out, my friends sister and her boyfriend were driving around and he had just bought an old police car with spotlights. They saw us screwing around and wanted to have some fun with us.

They succeeded. They scared the cr@p out of us. I'll never forget walking up to my friends house and they were in the car just busting up laughing at us.

We had been had.

Thanks! I will be watching for them. I found a video that shows how to do it I just need to know where is a good point to start drilling at. How high up did you mount it? What does the handle look like inside and is it in the way of anything?

Re: Spot light

Thanks, not sure why it won’t show up right! Handle is above the light/wiper switches and not in the way. I’ll get you a measurement in the morning if I can remember.

Re: Spot light

I’ll post another sideways pic for you! My truck already had holes in it and I found a new vintage series 6” on Amazon for $111. Definitely a cooler option than welding it up.
