What is going on?
I have had my truck about a year now and no one has ever come up and asked about my truck. In this week I have had three different people ask to buy my truck. It is the strangest thing. The first was at the gas station; I was filling up and this guy (never seen the person before) jumps out of his car and say"Wow, I love this truck! This is what I am looking for and I want to buy it." After I told him I wasn't interested in giving up the truck (he offered $5000). He asked for my number and said he would call me later this week to see if I would accept his offer. The second person stopped me on base and asked if it was for sale and I said not really and I just had someone else offer $5000 and he said if I don't sell it to him to call him (I know this guy). Tonight I am sitting back at home watching TV and these gentlemen (I never seen either one before in my life) come to my door inquiring about my truck. Since I am not really interested in selling the truck and I wanted to see how serious this guy is I say I will take $6000 for it. He offered a trade for a 51 ford 2-door (He didn't say what shape it was in and to be honest I couln't pick out one in a crowd if I saw one) and I said I wasn't interested in another car (I am a pickup kind of guy). He took my number and he said he would call me.
What is the deal? Did the value of a clean extremely minimal rust (drip rails and pass. cab corner) 1968 short bed go through the roof? All this has happened in the last 4 days. I am beginning to think I better park it in the garage before someone get any crazy ideas. Sonny |

thats about the same way its been with mine and its not in the greatest of shapes, lol the cabs just about shot and the bed has some rust , my wife and i have had about 20 diff people come up and either ask if we wanted to sell it or if we wanted to trade, and the truck ive got aint anything special by no means, its a70 gmc hugger orange and smokes like a frieght trian, i thinkits just the fact they want what some one else has and dont want to do the work to it after its fixed already

I think it is the time of the year. I just bought a truck that I didn't need. It just seems to be the time of year that folks start cleaning out the garages.

Working on the pictures. Too dark already. I just tried to snap a few. My truck still needs a little work, (a good paint job) but it is pure joy to drive! She has instant throttle respose and will light up the tires at a whim. Just sitting there idling you can tell she means business under the hood. Nothing fancy, just everything works well. Like I said before, pure joy to drive:-)
