Which ball joints are in this?

Anyone ever bought these? They don't look like the HD or Problem Solver line. They look like the normal moog stuff, that people say to avoid. Maybe that is the reason these are half the price of AC Delco brand control arms? Anyone know?

I didn't think Moog made cheap stuff. Those should be fine.

Moog RK (R series) are a cheaper version of the Moog part. The RK ball joints usually can't be serviced i.e. greased, and they only come with a 3-year warranty as opposed to the lifetime warranty their CK (K series) parts have.

That's part of the reason why they're cheaper.

Yep, says the model number on those is FBA_RK621268. Guess that is why the AC Delcos are close to twice the price. Dang, thought I just might have found a way to get out a little cheaper lol

why does a texas vehicle need whole new arm's ?

I rebuilt mine with poly bushings fairly easy and put in new moog joints .

True it doesn't need them. I was just looking to avoid having to mess with all the ball joints.

Seems like more of a hassle. You also kind of need to get new ball joints that come with bolts, or its a trip to the hardware store. Never done this before, don't know how hard it will be to get the old bushings out, and the new ones in. I've done it on cars but iirc, aren't some bushings pressed in? Can't remember. If so, I don't have a press.

It costs more, but it seems like you cut out a lot of variables, and save a lot of hassle just by ordering new control arms that already come with everything. I'd like to be proven wrong on this though. If anyone has a complete control arm rebuild kit that uses quality components, I'd love to see it.

The ball joints are easy enough, the bushings are kind of a *****. I would buy new control arms if I needed bushings and didn't need Del Alum bushings. If you want the good bushings you have to install them yourself.

To clarify, are you saying there are better ones for street use than just standard AC Delco or Moog? Or are you just talking racing type stuff?

Del Alum bushings are more for high performance street. They are smooth operating and long lasting. I use them on my Caddy and Camaro. I don't usually think of trucks as high performance but some guys do make hot rods out of them.

Never heard of em till now. I don't generally think trucks are for performance either, but I still prefer top quality if it isn't going to sacrifice anything in terms of street manners. Those are designed to last 100k miles so that part would be nice.

Bought the AC Delco Professional upper control arms. But now I'm having a problem. Nobody has the lower ones. Not ebay, amazon, rockauto, or summit. Autozone and Oreillys sell the cheap Dorman junk only. Where can I get a good quality set of lower control arms?

If I end up having to rebuild the lower control arms, do I need anything besides 2 ball joints and 4 bushings? And is anything pressed in?
