Set timing?

Is setting the timing on a ls after a cam swap as simple as lining up the dot on the crank gear and arrow on the cam gear? Engine is a L92 with vvt. Is is possible to be 360 degrees off?

Re: Set timing?

Vtt Phaser has a arrow and a straight line. From what I have read the arrow is used in setting timing
