65 230 to 250 engine swap
Hi,
I bought a '65 with a bad 230 and I have a line on a good running 250 out of a '74 Malibu. My truck has a 3-speed on the column. Will I have any issues or need any parts to swap in the 250? I've read that the 250 is just a stroked 230, but I haven't physically looked at a 230 and 250 side-by-side. Also, is there any difference between the 250 out of '74 car and the later truck 250s? Thanks in advance! |

Re: 65 230 to 250 engine swap
They are the same. Shouldn't be a problem

Re: 65 230 to 250 engine swap
ive done it... easy swap nothing to worry about. my 250 was out of a nova. i used some of the parts from the 230 and put on the 250. is the 250 intergrated head? if so you will want to keep the 230 head intake exhaust manifold.
