Unlikely, but some of the aftermarket balancers from Bangladesh are junk out of the box. Did you get a quality harmonic balancer?

I used a 20# sledgehammer to install it using a few really hard swings...



No, I'm just kidding hahaha, I used a HB installation tool. The engine is brand new from GM, so keyway, woodruff key, etc is all new. The pulley is a USA made Billet Specialties unit. I'm thinking the flanged end on the pulley had a little play into the balncer causing some "lopsidedness". Need to find a good way to get ER on straight I think.
