The only way the shortened bed looks right with an AD is if you chop it and then drop the cab down over the frame with no running boards and the bottoms of the fenders trimmed so they end up even with the bottom of the cab/doors. I've helped build two of them over the years and they were nifty little trucks. To just shorten the box to fit the frame and leave it all tall makes it look pretty ungainly to most of us.
