How much r134a gets left in the cans, hoses?

I just vacced and charged my vintage air AC this weekend. I weighed in 28oz as required, but was wondering if I actually got all 28 in as I'm sure some gets left in the cans and hoses. I'm gonna plug the manifold back in Friday to double check readings as the temp will be perfect, I'm just curious if anyone knows.

Re: How much r134a gets left in the cans, hoses?

The hose and can are pressurized to whatever the low side of the AC was at when you disconnected the hose. So, a fair amount, really. That's why we are supposed to recycle the cans- so that left-over amount in the can doesn't go into the atmosphere. You could weigh it before and after to get an idea, but it's only going to be a few grams. Not a big deal, but just consider how many thousands (millions?) of cans are out there.
