Watching Phantom works on velocity.
Working on '69 k20
Owner says had trouble getting the windshield in
Yeah. I've been there!
Phantom works tried twice with the trim in . Broke one and lastly installed without trim
Now I don't feel so bad. I will get windshield trim in at some point this summer!

I just saw that sequence. First couple installs were with deluxe trim. Finally installed the third windshield without the deluxe trim. That show is a tough watch!

Right. Same prob I've had. I can't get windshield in with deluxe trim.
I hate not having the trim in

Charged the guy 18k, modified the fan shroud, rebuilt the brakes, fixed the leaking trans, etc. Wow!

Get the expensive gaskets (made in the USA)
And
Install it with (original trim)
When it is warm out.
That’s what my glass guys have done, anyway
It ain’t always easy !!

So do you put the trim on after the windshield is in?? I installed my rear window without the trim and I was looking at it the other night wondering how I'm getting it all back in. And from the sounds of it I'm glad I saved my factory stuff.

No wonder my truck doesn't have the trim haha .... it would look nice though . I can only tolerate that show 1 episode here and there . Owner seems like a good guy but he's always whining and crying . He's a drama queen .

I've watch this show a few times. And I'm always amazed at how much he rips people off with his "labor rate" and even more amazed at how happily people fork over the money. Reality TV my a__!

Something I've noticed lately, it didn't seem like they had very many shows made in 2017...?
When they did, all the mechanics were newbies that I had never seen on show, except for one (he's the guy that whacked his thumb with a hammer, removing a ball joint a few seasons back). The 2017 shows also looked like there was little activity in the shop, looked like a car storage deal...

He seems like someone I would not be able to get along with OR would NOT like to work for. I wonder if he fired the other hands??? OR they said Buh Bye to him???

Anyone else notice all this??? There has been some interesting stuff done on the show. I also wonder about his financial status. Many folks in the world are not good with money........

The folks who have them work on their vehicles have money to burn ! They also bring in problems other have made and ask them to fix them properly, that’s even more expensive.

I third this. It's TV, where problems are part of the script, not of reality. Some guy acting all *****y, it's in the script. I call it "artificial angst", and it's the primary reason I don't watch TV. Anyway, I have a truck to work on.
