Hub Cap ID - Yellow Bowtie
Can anyone tell me what year / model these hubcaps are for? Google results suggest 1969-1972. Thank you.

73 up, look to be hand painted too. Kind of look like 3/4 ton caps. Desirable, don't just give them away

Re: Hub Cap ID - Yellow Bowtie
You have PO3 hub caps for 73-75 3/4 ton, but if you paint the bowtie krylon "true blue" it's hard to tell them apart from 69-72. They fit both 16" and 16.5" 8 lug wheels. 69-72 3/4 ton PO3s were chrome "outies" (convex, i.e. bulged out centers) and then they became innies (concave) around the 73 -74 time frame-ish. All 1/2 tons were innies (i.e. caved in centers). The 73-75 yellow bow ties weren't chrome, were less likely to split, and can be straightened out sometimes and polished. Those are also missing the black paint - see below. 1st is a true chrome 72 PO3 on a 16" rim, 2nd is a 73-75 made to look like a 69-72 on a 16.5" rim - and this is what you have in post #1.

Re: Hub Cap ID - Yellow Bowtie
Thanks for the reply! I just looked again, and I do see a very faint amount of black paint left in the corners, matching your pictures.

Re: Hub Cap ID - Yellow Bowtie
In addition to what Jocko said above, it's really easy to change a cap from concave to convex. In fact, I was really surprised how easy. I did it with a simple shot to that portion of the inside of the cap with the heal of my hand. Just for kicks, I repeated the procedure a couple times on the same cap.
