The steering wheel cover was on this vehicle when I purchased it from a Chevy, I just haven't changed to the proper GMC cover yet!

Just out of curiosity, where are the extra tanks? Are they under the rig or inside?

The extra tanks are under the body, just under each door. You can see the chrome covers for the right and left tank fuel fillers in the pics. Inside, there is a switch just to the left of the light switch to switch the fuel gauge between tanks, either left, right, or center (main), and behind the drivers seat is another switch to change which tank is feeding fuel to the engine, same, left, right, or center, all controled electronically. I guess this was a dealer add-on, cuz I've never heard of this factory option, and it's not listed on the options sheet!
The hooks on the top are definately cosmetic only, as there is no way those little things would hold that heavy top, without major reinforcement!

Best I can figure, each left and right tank holds about 12-13 gallons and the main one holds about 15. Does that sound right for the main capacity? Usually costs me over $60 to fill up all tanks!

TTT, and price lowered to $9,950, because of loss of my job! Plus, it now has the correct GMC horn cover and a new shaft style radio from custom car audio, with GMC logo on cassette tape door.
Guy, as much as I hate too, I really need to sell this truck, so make me and offer I can't refuse!

Let me see what I can get for pix. It's sitting 40 miles from my home, at my wife's work, and she has a hard time working digital camera's. But I try to get down there and get more pix for everyone.

Hey Cap'n Hook,
I'm new here...I'm very interested in the Jimmy. I've got a 72 GMC Camper Special and have been looking for a 72 Jimmy. I'm in NE Texas and will be heading to Kileen about the second weekend in January. I'd like to see it in person. If possible maybe we could meet somewhere down there. |

I've had a few lookers, but none willing to take her home. And I've dropped the price as far as it's going, since I found another J-O-B! It's $9,500 firm, or she stays with me!
I'm starting to think about this spring and taking the top off her, and almost have convinced myself to keep her. Thanks for all the great comments guys!
