1972 K20 Custom Camper A/C, Posi

I purchased this factory K20 with intentions of restoring it when time allowed. I have been driving it around in the meantime. It has a newly rebuilt engine and transmission. Both are original. Truck runs smoothly and does not smoke/leak. All lights work. It has the factory power disc brakes of course with a newer booster/master. It is a factory A/C truck. The compressor and condenser are not installed but, are included. It has a newer tilt steering column but, the original column/steering wheel are included. The truck is a factory posi truck. The original SPID, blue door sticker and VIN with correct rivets are intact. The radio hole has not been cut. No roof rail rust, pinch weld rust, or cowl rust. Cab supports are solid. Fenders, doors, rockers, cab corners and parts of the bed need rust repair. I’m located in Fox Island, Washington.

Re: 1972 K20 Custom Camper A/C, Posi

It did...4th time I’ve tried selling something on there and had a non paying bidder. Lost out on over $100 in fees again. eBay does nothing to correct the issue and you cannot leave negative feedback. I’ve attached a picture of the message I was sent literally minutes after he outbid everyone multiple times. Not sure what the attraction is to ruin someone’s auction.

What a joke, and eBay does nothing about it. I went through the same deal on eBay myself, I even had to refund a deposit because my ad didn’t say “ non refundable” just crazy

Yep, I still haven’t figured out what they get out of it. Seems like a one time consuming game to play. I’m not overly upset because my heart sank when I saw how low it sold. I know the engine/transmission/posi rear we’re worth that. I honestly don’t think anything is capable of selling through that site anymore.

That guy was a fool to not take it for so cheap. Nice truck. I'd buy it if I could. Really like it.

Re: 1972 K20 Custom Camper A/C, Posi

Leaning toward keeping it now. I’m back home and have been driving it the past few days while my Ram is down for repairs. I’ll just keep it as a driver until I can get to the cosmetic stuff. Will only sell to a forum member at this point.

Good for both of you guys. Looks like you easily arranged shipping too. I absolutely hate that part of selling stuff. Too many bad and expensive lessons shipping vehicles.

Im considering selling one now, but keeping it a local sale only. The big downside to even considering shipping mine is that its a huge non running project with a ton of extra parts.

Could you PM me the info on the shipping fellas you are using and tell me the overall experience. Just in case I ever get to that point (*shudder* lol) of selling a running vehicle.

Thanks!!!

That’s funny Keith. I wanted to hang on to this one until the time was right to build it. Between the new house, baby on the way and the 72 Blazer project, I knew I would not be able to get to it for a while. Did our old truck sell or is it still for sale?

I'm not sure if it sold. The ad is gone. Would have loved to pick it back up, but you know I have projects in the wings also. If we are not careful, these projects start to own us instead of the other way around.
