78 K20 Trim Removal
Sorry for what is probably a dumb question, but...
I just finished welding in all the new panels on my 78 K20. I am going to respray the whole thing this fall. I need to remove the trim below the rear cab window and the trim on the tailgate. How does that come off? Its in pretty good shape and new ones are so expensive I want to be sure I can reuse it. How about the decals? Pictures attached. Thanks! -Will

Re: 78 K20 Trim Removal
The tailgate trim comes off by taking the screws out on the backside of the tailgate. There are 4, maybe 5 screws.
The cab trim, you will have to reach up between the panels in the rear corner of the cab, behind where the rear speakers are if you have any. It is a 3/8th nut that hold the corner trim on. They will come right off after taking the nut off. then the long rear piece, just push from one side , it slides off the tabs on the back of the cab. Not sure on the decal, but i would image it's held on by a nut also. So you might feel it when you reach up in there for the corner trim nut.
