Floor board and firewall???
I'm looking for some alternatives for floor board/firewall insulation and padding. Anybody help me out.

For the firewall, I'd go back with repro of the original, just because it works and fits. Now, under that, I'd (and am) put some dynamat or similar product with aluminum backing for extra heat control. For the actual floor board, more dynamat is good, along with some sort of insulation like you can get from Eastwood. It's inexpensive and does the job and you won't feel bad cutting it to make the carpet fit over it and it helps with heat and sound.
