No dash lights (advice)

I lost dash lights a week ago and am trying to track down the problem. I changed the headlight switch and still have none. When I check for power at the fuse box I don't have power at the fuse. My next step I think is to check behind the fuse block for any open circuit. Am I on the right track?

Re: No dash lights (advice)

Found the trouble, the green wire in the headlight switch cluster had backed out and was not making good connection. Happy now...

Re: No dash lights (advice)

Nice easy fix. Another common loss of dash lights is when the rheostat fails in the headlight switch. But that’s not near as cheap as your fix!

Re: No dash lights (advice)

I once cured that on a new-to-me '71 Jimmy by replacing every single peanut bulb in the dash cluster. Also had to reconnect the speedo cable because the PO didn't care how fast he went.
