Steering column help

I have searched the forum, internet and assembly manual and am finding conflicting information. Can anyone tell me if a 1971 Blazer without tilt should have a spring underneath the canceling cam? I see some exploded views that show it, like LMC catalogs and some of the diagrams in the assembly manual and others that do not? Was it only or tilt columns that had the spring?

Thank you for the help.

Jeff

Re: Steering column help

Thank you Richard. Guess I didn't do a very good search.

Re: Steering column help

Glad to help. I am getting better with the advance search button lol it all boils down to typing in the right key words but still seems to be hit and miss. I still find myself asking as many questions as I help find answers to.
