POR15 makes a product just for manifolds and headers. I just did a set of manifolds and it turned out great. I haven't fired the motor and can't say how it will last, but most of their products have a great reputation. I bought the small can, 8oz, and it could probably do 2 coats on full length headers. I have 3 coats on a set ramshorns and hardly used any.

If you don't heat the manifolds per the instructions, rust will form underneath the POR paint. I painted the manifold for my 235 in 2000, it is now all rusty.
