3 speed conversion

I need help with a 3 speed conversion. I have a 77 C10 with a Saginaw 3 speed on the column. I was curious if there is a DIY way to switch it to floor shift, or if someone could set me in the direction of a good kit?
thanks

Re: 3 speed conversion

THe best thing you can do is get a hurst mastershift. The shifter is available new. With the required installation kit, it gets expensive. I got mine from ebay.

Next best is the hurst indy shifter. Significantly lower quality and worse shift feel but functional. Recently out of production, you should be able to find one still new in the box:

Least recommended (at least by me) is the Mr Gasket shifter. Good price, bad shifter. Sloppy to say the least. Gates allow moving the shifter without moving the shift linkage.
Out of production but many auto parts stores still have them on the shelf:

x2 on the hurst mastershift.
The Indy and Mr.Gasket are not good in stock form but a simple fix with a drill and cotter key cures them.

The hurst mastershift looks pretty good, but it is on the pricey side. I"m not decided on what to do yet, but whatever way i do it i will update and see how it goes

Re: 3 speed conversion

the only issue with some of the hurst shifters is the arm is kinda short I did not look at the one that was linked above but on one of my trucks that came that way it was like the shifter hugged the bench eat in first and third

X2 on the Hurst Mastershift. About 400 bucks for the shifter and installation kit but no more wonky column shift!
