66 Layed out question...
posted on the suspension forum but my get better info here...
I am building a swb 66 that will lay frame...Im getting ready to mock up my motor mounts and had a question about oil pan clearance. Im staying old school and running a built sbc 327 and not going LS...Ive read a bunch about people having oil pan clearance issues with the LS but i dont see much on an old school sbc...my motor mounts will be welded in so i will have some play with height but not much due to hood clearance etc...any opinions on this or real world experience? ![]() |

Re: 66 Layed out question...
The LSx hot rod oil pan will be at same height as the crossmember. Mine is stock truck and dropped 4”, hangs about 1” below crossmember.
I honestly don’t know about SBC tho. Good luck!
