April 2019 ToTM
Our April 2019 Truck of the Month (TOTM) contest theme is:
Beat it to Fit, Try & Paint it to Match Play on some words as usual, but the theme for this month’s contest is those vehicles that are sooooo far from show or nice. Rust and dust maybe their dominant feature. Here’s the criteria for this month’s contest.
To Nominate: You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the Make/Model/Year of vehicle. Nominations will run through March 23. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the Make/Model/Year of vehicle. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up by March 24 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The Poll will run thru the morning of April 1 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the evening of April 1. The announcement of the TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

Re: April 2019 ToTM
This one is right up my alley!
My 63 named Frankentruck 283 small block, Quadrajet carb, 3 speed with OD Yes, the top of the windshield is sealed with duct tape on the outside and inside. The inside tape keeps rust from falling on my feet

Re: April 2019 ToTM
Three years later I've fixed a couple things , shock brackets http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=763851 and a shifter http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=767127 , I did replace the cracked w/shield. But not much visually , other than wheels repainted and new spinners . Still a lot to do .

Re: April 2019 ToTM
My 72 Blazer. I think I barely meet the criteria. But if you look you will see some of the orginal white paint, and the green door and fender on the passenger side showing. Plus plenty of rust and a missing rocker panel.

Hey what the heck. Hopefully not to pretty for this one hahah
Here is my 1963 GMC 10 1/2’ panel, with a 12 valve Cummins. Just put it on the road, yesterday, for the summer. Bugs to tune but drivers pretty good. |
