Re: 47 on s10 frame wheel backspacing/offset question??
welcome.
1. you are in the pre 47 forum. you will want to post in the 47-59 forum going forward. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...splay.php?f=13 if you post a project thread, please be sure to do it in the 47-59 "project and build" section and not the 47-59 main forum http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...play.php?f=205 2. I used 20x8 and 20x9 on my last AD S10 swap. in the front I used 20x8 with 4 inch backspace, in the back I used 20x9, these are the offsets I ordered. this is what it looked like in the back I could have gone another inch wider on the rim with the same 3.5 backspace. the front also had good clearance but I wasnt bagged and needed turning ability with tucked wheels. that is important because with the 4" wider track width, if you ordered the same 4" backspace on 8" wide, you would need to lift the truck for the wheels to clear the fenders in order to turn sharply. if you wanted it to look like mine, you would need that extra two inches back, so that would be a 6" backspace 8" wide wheel on the front.

Joe is one of the most knowledgeable and common sense S-10 swap guy around. Follow what he says. That especially goes with the big rims
