Had a couple hours free to work in the shop this weekend. Took advantage of the time and was able to install the tailgate handle relocate patch. Fit was pretty decent. Also started to weld the tailgate back together. Will finish it up another weekend.

Dang tailgate is taking longer than I figured. Had an hour this weekend to cut out the handle relocate. I was hoping that the kit I bought would be a flush mounted patch but turns out it is meant to bolt in. Will possibly try to modify it or at a minimum weld it in instead of using the bolts.
Bow is definitely less noticable than before. Handle relocate cutout. New handle location. Also a few small patches I need to finish welding from needing access with hammer and dolly. Goal is to get this and my floor in some primer by end of summer. I'll hopefully be done working out of town by then and have more shop time |
