55.2-59 Building a 58 LWB 3200 Not much is stock

Well, i started long before i found this forum. Found this incidentally, while googling for a part.

Anyway, when i got her; the bed wood was usable but not very attractive. And the metal strips were rusty as all get out. Replaced all that!

The wiring had been hacked on numerous times and looked like a fire hazard. We installed a $530 wiring harness and removed all the hacks.

Removed the stock seat and sold it on egay. That gave me the funds to purchase captains chairs from the second row of a Dodge van. I changed the color of them, but only until i can get seat covers.

The interior was stock except for the tilt column someone had installed from a Buick. Almost nothing about the interior is stock now. Installed new carpet. I have done major upholstery work an am not finished. Going two tone. Also made my own padded dash to match. That was quite an experience. Just about every thing on the interior will be covered with marine vinyl in one color or the other.

Also, every knob on the dash and the window cranks as well as the interior door handles now have large clear jewels.

Also installed a floor e-brake next to the shifter. And new cables to go with. Shifter also has a jeweled knob.

Installed a dual cylinder Master Cylinder on the firewall with a under dash mounted brake pedal. No more hoping the MC has fluid.

Replaced the clutch, pressure plate & throw out bearing for the 4 speed Saginaw transmission.

Installed a 4 row aluminum radiator. I do have the ability to run an auto transmission without changing radiators.

The old rattling tailgate chains used to drive me nuts back when i was young. So, i decided to go with hidden tailgate latches. Saw some crazy prices an opted to improvise. My set cost me $50 total, all in. And work like a charm!

Installed new door seals.

Also, built my own door buttons and removed the exterior door handles. And fabbed my own fender skirts ( not on the truck at the moment ).

Installed a new starter on the 1970s 400 CI engine. Turns out the old one was good. Helper had buggered up the wire.

Already has a 72 Nova front-end and rear-end with 5 lugs on 4-1/2 hole pattern.

Changing the wheels out to 2006 S-10 wheels.

Will soon be getting ready to install 12 volt electric air conditioning. Hopefully before Oct.

Also, i saw a truck on egay that inspired me to design corvette style body coves on the sides.

I will upload pics soon. Oh, yeah! I plan to leave it patina.

I forgot to include, i lowered the rear end of the truck 3 inches. Using a Dynachrome Rear Shackle Lift Kit; but in this case it lowers the truck due to reverse manufacturing.
