Help me decide...

Help me decide what color to paint my wheels...The truck is mostly white with some green (original #503) accents coming through the paint and in the engine bay.

For the longest time I thought I was going to paint the wheels silver pearl metallic #3314 (1965 Corvette color)...now that I am looking at the truck I am wondering if the wheels will look better green. What are your thoughts and opinions?

Here are some pics of the green and silver for reference...

Re: Help me decide...

Since the interior is silver, I would go silver on the wheels. If you were to add some more green to the outside of the truck, I think you could get away with green wheels. JMO

I was thinking the same thing originally...but I will have some green in the cab. Here is a pic of the SW, E brake handle, and steering column in green. THe roof has the most green on the exterior...just hard to see unless you are really tall or standing in the bed.

I am leaning towards green...if I don't like it, I can always change it...I may do one wheel silver and one green to compare. Still undecided though.

Re: Help me decide...

I am also thinking of doing part of the door panel in green...so there will be some green inside.

Re: Help me decide...

If you're using rally wheels as depicted, recommend going with original wheel argent silver and you won't be sorry. You wouldn't be the first to paint rallies a non-stock accent color and then later regret it. If steelies, I'd go white personally. For color steelies, the exterior really needs to be that color or at least have that wheel color as an accent exterior color to look right (for me). Otherwise, it will look like a solid white truck with green wheels (I don't think from more than 10 feet away that any green on the interior will be reason enough to paint wheels to match).

Again, just my 2 cents, there's no wrong answer!

Your 2 cents makes sense. Argent silver is a little darker silver...is that right?

I think I am leaning towards silver at this point...should get them off and painted soon.

Re: Help me decide...

Thanks for the help everyone!... I have decided to paint the wheels....

Silver.

I agree with some posts above...I don't think I have enough exterior green to paint the wheels green.

I hope to start working on them later this week. Will post pics as I do them.
