Hey fellas does anyone have pics of where the return spring goes on the foot brake pedal?
I dont think mines on it, when I push it down it stays on but when I release it I have to lift it back up manually 71 c10

Here is a link on when mine broke. I bought another used one and installed it. The spring is part of the assembly.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

There is also a spring on the end of the park brake cable inside the drum brake assembly left and right on the rear axle. So a total of three return springs for the system. It is very common for the park brake cables at the rear axle to be full of crud after 50 years of service and not returning properly. A good idea to remove completely from the truck for a full inspection and cleaning.
