Tim is right this stove takes smaller wood . When I bought it as the old stove burnt out I had to cut all the wood I had stacked . Made a jig to cut multiple pieces .

I always try to not make any foot prints in the snow here. I tramp down what paths I need to take to function and stay on those. When I as a kid I'd get mad when kids would 'ruin' the snow . Kind of like a ski slope, stay on the marked trails! (which I was not always so good about)

Wasn't that way at my folks place ,,
When I was a kid my 5 years older sister would get me to help her stomp out a big circle path with cross paths like a wagon wheel and then have me chase her and try to tag her .. she cheated and I always did the chasing .. I believe it was called the Fox chases the Rabbit

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

Took this pic shortly after my son had the US Flag decoration custom made for me as a birthday present. Stone fireplace at the west end of the house with picture I bought at auction of a '57 Bel Air, American Graffiti poster and one of my favorite "reflective thought " pictures from the Vietnam Wall - " Reflections". Kids and Grandkids pics and an old turn of the century kitchen clock on the rough cedar mantle. Very comfy setting with the fireplace going, sitting in the recliner with a Crown Royal mix watching an old western movie. Sure do love being retired.

Wow. Sounds a bit like the place across from me except they are nice and don't trash the place. But they don't fix it up either because they are all still fighting with each other over who's house it is. The old guy that lived there kept it kind of junky and not much has changed since he passed. He was a nice old guy but I guess that he left no will. So the family has been duking it out for the last few years. I think that every family member has lived there since his death only to be kicked out by another family member. I don't ask questions so I don't know details and don't want to know. They stop and talk to me and always trash talk the relative that was there before and I just keep my mouth shut and try to change the subject. Smile and nod.

They may not pay taxes at the moment but eventually those chickens are going to come home to roost. The government just doesn't forget chit like that. That's the one thing that government does efficiently... Taking your money.

Cool van set up for camping with the 110 roof air. Not so sure I like the clear steel look though.

Beautiful Neat Place! Love to see places with the old antiques displayed. Looks like someone also has a full time maintenance job keeping it ship shape.

That's what I was thinking. Beautiful place but holy cow that must be a lot of work to keep up.

Cool place. So is the place open for browsing? One man's personal museum. I had something similar, on a smaller scale, in mind for my retirement. I collected antique toys, advertising, western, pioneer, and just antique type stuff all my life. I still have a good bit, but have had to sell off a lot over the past 15 years, unfortunately. No more plans for a mini museum.

It sure looks ship shape and that was my thought when I looked at the pictures. Must be a guy who likes to keep busy. I'm that way and I hope I keep it up. I also thought about the place sitting all winter. I'd love to see pictures in the snow
