Kit is in! Come with Adapter plate, Hydraulic throw out bearing spacer and new pilot bearing. Fabbot has an instruction video on Youtube. Most of it is self explanatory, but it helped with the proper torque settings for the bolts. Modifying the bell housing was really easy, due to it being aluminum. Used the adapter to mark what has to come out and drilled (2) holes in the side for the fluid feed and bleeder. I opted for the optional AN-3 fitting to get rid of GM's quick connect. This will make it easier to connect to a universal slave. Its held in with a retaining pin and new is provided, if you mangle it getting it out.All went together very easily and I'm very happy with the quality of the kit.

Super Cool!!! Love the personal touch to parts that normally wouldn't be cool at all. That is what sets a truck apart from the rest in my eyes. Make it yours.

Just about have everything I need to start the swap. Re-envisioned how I want to move forward with this build and realized I really want the one I let go back. The plan now is to go back to steel wheels and change the front clip to round headlights '74. I found a set of black steel wheels that look very close to the old school slots I had on pretty much all my previous C10/ K10 trucks. They only come in 17x9 and are made for a Jeep. Had a machine shop open the center bore up to 78.1mm. Went with Nitto NT555 G2's 255/50/17 up front and 275/50/17 in the rear. Was nervous about a 9" rim upfront, but it clears fine. I think the rear needs more meat?

Found them on eBay. There are a couple 4x4 websites that have them as well, but they are a little more expensive on those sites. Machine shop charged $120 to bore them out to Chevy spec, well worth it to keep them hub centric.

Point of no return.......
Productive weekend. Motor is out and will start cleaning up the frame and wires. Aired out, the truck was so low that I couldn't get under it on common ramps. Built my own, to get where we need to be. Plan to mock up the motor this weekend to see how low the OEM pan hangs, then go from there.

I made the mistake of not replacing my sensors when the engine was out. Lot less fun to do once everything is connected and in the truck. Did you get the crank sensor while you where there?

More plenum work. Pulled out the Dremel and did some more carving. Plan is to paint the same battleship gray at the block with black stars and stripes. Maybe center stripe red?

Thanks guys, here is the finished product. Overall happy with how it turned out. Went with a distressed look and now has an X Wing fighter from Star Wars vibe.

How did you even get that valve cover on there? Did you cut the back out of it by the firewall? That is a tight fit.

I did. By cutting the back out, I'm able to slide it back and drop it into place. Still working on modifying them, will upload some pics.

And we're plumbing..... Some pics of the catch can installed and heater core lines. This side of the engine bay is going to be tight. Wanted to dictate where the lines are run and not have them flopping around in there. Made up some brackets to keep everything in place.

Throttle cable time! Cable is not long enough and didn't what it laying across the plenum. No matter how I set it up I knew it would have to be custom. Decided to flip the throttle body upside down to keep everything on the drivers side. After fabbing the bracket up, the cable just had enough room between the alternator. I figured that the cable had to be lever, but that was not the case. After testing the peddle I was not able to get to full throttle. Will have to modify to raise the bracket up on an angle and see where we are at. Here is the first failed attempt.

Full throttle achieved! Up and on an angle works great. I'll do some cable management when the intake is installed. Some pics of the modified valve covers....... Had to cut out the rear section and the lip for the plug side to get everything to sit flush.

I ran my fuel crossover on the backside. Not sure if that is an option for you but might be worth looking.

Thanks for the idea. I did some Googling and found that this is a common issue. There is a 90 degree low profile fitting that mounts directly to the rail. Got it ordered!
