18x12 backspacing question
Can I run a 18x12 with a 6" backspacing on a late model 70 c10 wider rear end? Truck has no bedfloor or tubs, just bedsides. How close would that get it to flush?

Re: 18x12 backspacing question
They also come in 5.5bs
Alternative is 18x11 with either 6bs or 5bs |

Re: 18x12 backspacing question
You would need to pick the tire you want to run and use a tool like the ones listed in the link below. The tire is what you have to make fit and the tool will tell you the rim you need.

Re: 18x12 backspacing question
The shorter width 6-lug 12bolts allow about ~10" of back space before you have clearance problems (if the wheel diameter clears) @ the suspension. I ran 15x14" wheels (9.75"BS??) w/widened tubs & the shorter width 12bolt
So, will your proposed combo's 'fit' with the wider housing? They can. Will they look right? Only way to know is to measure your set-up. I would bet if the truck is lower than stock height, there will be issues @ the bedside requiring more back spacing. My best WAG is you need closer to ~8" BS w/the wider rear housing if the truck is lowered & you don't want to have to worry about rubbing @ the bedside.
