2020 C10 Nationals

I’ll be missing my wife’s birthday but she gave me the green light to attend the 2020 C10 nationals at the Tx Speedway I realize it’s still early but who else plans to attend?

Yes, I’ve been down that road before the year I went to Sturgis and came home to a new cat.

By cat do you mean the animal?

I plan on going...I see Im only 100 miles south of you! I took the first place trophy home for the burnout contest at the 2017 Truck Nationals in Riverside Missouri... Here's a peek, they only let us run 30 seconds, got disqualified in 2016 because I didn't hear the horn, and because I was trying to blow the tires off the truck! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jXx...FwXZgV5iVEXyeB

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Thanks! I'll have a new motor in the truck and plan on picking up a set of Highway Max tires to dazzle the crowd. You can pick them up in Houston and forgo the shipping from Australia charges. I plan to show Texas that Nebraska has some pretty quick farm trucks on that drag strip as well. Lookin forward to a good time!

I must be living under a rock— I had to google to see what Highway Max tires were.

Re: 2020 C10 Nationals

I'd love to meet as many of yall as possible out at the speedway, we should try to set up a time and place to get together.

Absolutely killer burnout Ironangel! Looking forward to watching you tear up the track man! In my opinion I'd save your money on the colored smoke tires white smoke just feels right to me.

Thanks man, I try to keep the teenager in me alive, I always thought it would be cool to emit red, white, and blue smoke and end the burnout with a couple of Excalibur mortar launches electronically launched out of the bed through the smoke...It's all about dazzling that crowd, safely of course...That was a 1969 L34 SS/396 motor out of a 69 El Camino that I sadly blew up a year ago. I took the crank out of that motor and stuck it in a .060" over 454 block with forged JE domed pistons custom made for the 69 closed chambered heads. Balanced the rotating assembly and added a mildly radical Clay Smith solid lifter cam to come up with a 439 cubic inch 13.5:1 BBC motor that will live turning 8000 rpm without blowing a cork. Been two years researching and saving money to build this motor just to eat some of these late model LS motors. I look forward to putting her on the dyno down there and racing her on that drag strip showing Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee that Kneebraska has Farm Trucks too! I noticed "Classic Parts" is hosting this show at Texas Motor Speedway, seems to me that LMC hosted the big show in Texas? In any case I look forward to meeting and making new friends in Texas...Merry Christmas everyone! Oh, almost forgot, this is for those who are wondering what Excalibur mortar shots are... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMnZhWxQXsQ
