What is the right order of assembly at this point?

Ive finally reached a point in the build of my 66 where I can start putting stuff back together. Problem is its more than I remember as I was tearing it all down. I did take pics as I went but Im second guessing what makes sense as a step a, b and c approach. Right now there is an empty cab on a frame with the front and rear suspension in place. I'll list the parts Ive got and maybe someone can chime in and help me figure the right order of assembly out.



Wiring Harness

Transmission -
700r4 I pulled out in 2015 and its been sitting covered on a dolly in the garage every since. It was originally installed new 2013.


Engine
Brand new...still in the crate

Had to switch to an electric fuel pump and have never worked with these before

I would start out by getting the engine and trans installed....
Next I'd work on running fuel lines
Then I'd concentrate on wiring last..

It was only a few months ago my truck looked like yours. Id say...
Install brake, fuel lines as much as possible while motor is out
Engine, trans, exhaust
Wire harness can be done later, you need front end together to complete the runs

I agree. Brake booster, master and lines before the engine goes in.

If it is not going to kill you pull the cab back off.

Install engine drive train.

Plumb fuel and brakes.

Reinstall cab and get front clip finallized.

Wire

Upholster.

Glass.

Thanks for the replies, I think I will at least run the brake lines first since Im not changing anything from before. Should be a reuse of the stainless lines I had before in the front and then I guess Ill run the nickel/copper lines out to the back. The cab will have to stay on unfortunately, no room to relocate it.

Ive got the L31 engine thats new with the electric fuel pump vs my old 350 from 1975. Otherwise Id run the fuel lines too, just not sure that can happen since its a different engine.

I was going to start a thread asking about the best arrangement of all the lines. Ill post what pics I have of what things looked like before. I was hoping for a cleaner run of things but Id need to see some examples.

I must agree here. On my "69 I did the frame and suspension and then installed the cab. On my "66 I will be doing the frame, air bags and lines, Fuel line(s), wiring, Brakes, Complete drivetrain install, then install the cab. I must add this: this time I have a new lift installed and what a HUGE difference it makes! If I could recommend anything to anyone, take the time and $$ and buy a lift, what a huge difference.
Anyways, great start you have regardless what path you take!

I would have to guess the cab never came off, or otherwise it would never be back on in this stage. Ditto on the lift.

In my little single car garage I had for years been working on the cab on a cart I built that wheeled around. Lotta rusty panels needed work. Once I finally got that done I had to call on a lotta favors and gathered enough muscle to roll out the cab and pull in the frame which was outside the garage for years painted and ready to go. With the frame on jack stands we all lifted the cab and moved it back in the garage and mounted it up. Im not gonna tempt fate and friendships and ask for that to happen all over again. Since then Ive been rebuilding the suspension and thats as far as ive gotten. Really want to get this thing together soon, so next week I was hoping to have all my parts ordered and delivered to at least get the lines and drivetrain installed.

I made a bracket for my engine hoist ,can put it on/off by myself

Thats works and a sliding chain hoist on a rail attached to the trusses works great too.

One day Ill have a garage with alot more room. That pic in post 1 was taken from the corner of the space. Not enough to do work comfortably, pretty tight. When I removed the cab years ago to put it on the cart I also had rigged up a wooden brace that I attached to the lift. It worked great. As I got to the paint stage though I decided to put the doors on and paint vs assembling later. So with the doors on the cab the hoist wouldnt work out without damaging something.
