Another Rear Axle Question....
So....I am trying to put the axle shafts back in the housing...The "gaskets" on the flanges (where the axle bolts to the hub) are made out of soft metal. Do the new ones need to be metal, or can they be gasket material?

The reason I ask is - - I bought two Felpro 55350 gaskets from a parts house. One was metal, the other was paper. …..
