Hood clearance

Well, it's been a while since I've been on here but I'm starting to get back to my truck.Does anyone know the dimension from the front intake base to the hood? It's all apart but I'm trying to decide if my Intake / carb / air cleaner choice will fit under a stock hood. It is a big block so it's probably a little different than a small block. I did search but don't see any real numbers posted.
THANKS!

Re: Hood clearance

I don’t know the dimension but mine fit easily with the 402 stock iron intake and air cleaner spacer with an Edelbrock 1407 and a 1” aluminum carb adapter, with a dual snorkle air cleaner that has a late model raised lid. I am running a 3” tall air filter inside. I am switching to an Edelbrock Performer intake and keeping the 1” carb adapter and I hope it will still fit.
